Preparing your students for success

The Education Liaison and Events teams were delighted to welcome almost 100 delegates to our 16th annual Teachers and Careers Advisers Conference on Friday 3rd May 2024. This free, one day event provides updates on the changing HE landscape and opportunities to share experiences and good practice with colleagues who provide post-16 information, advice and guidance (IAG) across a broad range of school and college settings.

The conference is aimed at all teachers and careers advisers working in post-16 education. Professionals and practitioners in the HE sector are available through plenary and workshop sessions to equip you with up-to-date, essential information to inform your own practice.

In addition to a keynote, plenary and networking lunch, delegates have the opportunity to select two workshops of interest, network with like-minded professionals in the sector, and speak to subject tutors and other services from across the University. The programme provides attendees with a mix of subject specific guidance, as well as general policy update. Sessions are delivered by staff from Edge Hill University, in addition to external specialists, who each demonstrate expertise within their chosen fields.

Our 2025 date is not yet confirmed, but you can view our 2024 conference programme and session notes below.
